Nextgen Image Store is an additional feature in La Crosse Nextgen that allows you to safely and conveniently attach and store any number of documents or scanned images to use as supporting documentation for your Nextgen records. This eliminates the need to store documents in folders on your network or use a third party document storage system. Attach documents such as signed proposals in PDF, notes in Word documents or text files, Excel spreadsheets, scanned photos, screen shots or electronic signatures to serial records, leases, invoices, transactions, contracts, service calls or customer records, as well as many others. Nextgen Image Store provides you with rock solid SQL security because your files are stored in one location, which is right in your Nextgen database. In addition, there is no need to worry about backing up your files, since your SQL database backup does all the work for you.
Through the technology of SQL Binary Large Objects (BLOB), your Windows files and images are stored in your Nextgen database.
There is no need to store and modify separate documents in folders on your workstation or network, or use a third party document storage system.
No need to worry about backing up your files, since your SQL database backup does all the work for you.

The Image Store panel shows you all file attachments associated with the current record as well as attachments associated with all other records in the system. In this example, the Microsoft Outlook MSG file is specifically attached to Service Call ID 380017.
By selecting the All drop down box, the Image Store panel shows you all attachments associated with all other records in the system. You have the ability to add a new attachment to the current record, as well as save, copy, paste, delete, or view links of the current attachment to other records in the system.
